I am always looking for new stock investments. Which large corporate stocks are still available that have always made a profit and still have profit growth, have a low PE ratio, pay a dividend that will not be cut, have little or no debt on their balance sheet, and will be safe in this bad economy that we are facing. Provide the ticker symbols of these stocks and the reasons why the stock of these companies should be purchased.

Some say we(the us) is going into a mild recession of sorts-it seems so. Would you suggest informed investing in some cheap stocks right now?
Stocks: How do stocks with dividends grow compared to stocks without? I'm looking for a link to such studies here, so hopefully I can save time from doing my own studies. Basically, I'm looking for edges in the market, and even if dividend stocks grow at the same rate as non-dividend stocks, and dividends are a percent, than I will have a percent plus compounding on that percent every year. May not be much, but every edge counts. Please note that only statistics and studies will help me here. Thanks!
How many stocks should I carry in my portfolio? I am looking to invest long-term (20+ years) and this is my first time buying stocks. I have a medium to high risk tolerance. Also, what would you say are good markets/industries to buy into now for maximum growth over the next 20 years? I already have mutual funds... so I'm hoping to get into something with more potential payback (realizing the added risk also).

How do I find stocks that pay exceptionally high dividends? I'm looking for stocks that pay a dividend in excess of 15% (I've had them as high as 24%, so I know they exist). Of course, I want this dividend to be paid from profit, instead of the business taking out a loan for it. I am NOT INTERESTED in buying a stock with the intention of selling it. My interest is income. I want to buy the stock, and be able to retire on the dividends... with enough shares, that is. Got any ideas?

Do they charge a fee for one stock at a time to buy online or you can pay a monthly fee to trade stocks for a set price? I would like to know the best way to seek out a stock broker to trade for you as well as a good guide?

What's the difference between trading stocks and gambling? I know some people are good at stocks but the fact is that it's never guaranteed anything. Even the best can lose. So what I want to know is, how is this any different from gambling, besides the name. The principle is the same thing. My friend knew someone at work who lost millions in the stock market in one weekend and hung himself. I'm being dead serious, it's dangerous just like gambling is. I'm pretty sure there are people addicted to it (stock markets). It IS gambling period . So why don't they call it that?

What do you think about investing in stocks as a beginner? I think the stock market can be a smart thing to experiment in even without much experience, in contrast to most advice given. My reasoning is that you can "practice" picking stocks for a very small amount of money- even under $100. You can buy just 1 stock option and though you won't make much, you won't lose much either and you'll have experience of watching the market. Sure you can argue that you can study the market without putting your money into it, but I think having something on the line- even if it is only a $20 stock option- keeps your attention and diligence. I am inexperienced with stock trading- it's been years since I've owned stock- but I'm smart, I have a financial mind, and I am a quick study. I think I want to take a few hundred dollars and spread it over a handful of well-picked stocks and watch it for a few months to see what happens. Maybe I'll make a profit, maybe I won't. But I'm not risking much. If you disagree, please explain your logic. Thank you! what do you think about zecco.com?
How to tell difference between inletted and semi inletted stocks? I acquired several sporter stocks for large ring Mauser from gunsmith's estate. Some are finished, most are not. Want to keep few of them to restock my guns and sell the rest. I want to give accurate description. How can I tell if the stock is fully or semi inletted? Some seems to have precisely cut channels, and some some have rough cut. Yet, when I try to press fit one of my barreled actions into that stock, there is not enough room. Please advise. Thank you.

Why does the stocks of a company drop when it is expected to be nationalized? I suppose when a company with stocks is nationalized, the government will buy all the stocks and everyone who owes the stocks are forced to sell the stocks at the price the government sets. Is this the way it happens? That would explain why the stocks drop at the expectation of being nationalized. But I am not sure this is the way it happens. Thanks in advance for a answer.
